Instructions
Step 1
Cut up the chicken thighs into 1 inch chunks
Step 2
Toss the chicken thighs with the 1/2 cup cornstarch and let sit.
Step 3
Mix together the rice vinegar, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, red pepper, water, sugar and 2 tablespoons cornstarch in a small bowl and whisk together. Set aside.
Step 4
Put oil in frying pan and heat until warm. Add chicken to the pan and fry until crispy and golden brown.
Step 5
Remove the chicken from the pan and drain all but a tablespoon of the oil.
Step 6
Add garlic to the oil and cook for 30 seconds.
Step 7
Add in the chicken and toss, then add the sauce. Stir for 1 minute, until sauce thickened.
Step 8
Serve immediately
