2 lbsboneless skinless chicken breast
cut into 1-inch cubes

1egg
beaten

1 tspsalt

1 Tbspgranulated sugar

white pepper

1 ½ cupscornstarch

oil for frying

sesame seeds

⅓ cupketchup

¼ cupdark brown sugar
packed

¼ cuphoney

¼ cupsweet chili sauce

2 Tbspsoy sauce

2 Tbsprice vinegar

2 Tbsptoasted sesame oil

4cloves garlic

Instructions
Step 1
In a large mixing bowl place the chicken cubes, egg, salt, sugar, and white pepper.
Step 2
Mix well.
Step 3
Add in the cornstarch a little bit at a time until the chicken cubes are well coated.
Step 4
Pour 1 inch of oil into a nonstick frying pan and heat over medium-high heat.
Step 5
in batches carefully drop the chicken cubes into the hot oil one by one, cooking until they turn golden brown – about 4 to 5 minutes.
Step 6
Remove the chicken, transfer to a paper towel-lined plate and allow to cool as you fry the next batch.
Step 7
To make the sauce: In a large saucepan, place all sauce ingredients and mix well to combine.
Step 8
Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook for 10 minutes to thicken.
Step 9
Add chicken and mix well so all the chicken gets coated in the sauce.
Step 10
Bring back to a gentle simmer and turn off heat.
Step 11
Transfer chicken poppers to a serving platter and top with sesame seeds.
