Chatkara Tawa Chicken is full of flavours and made on large Tawa , usually used for making Rotis/Chapatis. You can of course use a frying pan. You only need basic ingredients and it will be on your table under 30 minutes.

1 tspGinger
heaped, crushed
1 tspGarlic
heaped, crushed
1 tspGreen Chillies
crushed
1Tomato
medium, chopped
½ cupCoriander leaves
chopped
1Green Chilli
as required

julienne cut
1 tspKashmiri Chilli Powder
1 tspGaram Masala
1 tspCrushed Chillies
1 tspDried Fenugreek leaves
1 tspCumin

1 tspCoriander
Crushed & Roasted
1 tspSalt
1 tspTurmeric
3 TbspOil
2 TbspYogurt
2 TbspButter
1Charcoal
for smoke
Instructions
Step 1
Heat up the oil on a Tawa or a pan and add the crushed ginger, garlic and green chillies.Fry on low heat for a minute
Step 2
Add the boneless chicken pieces. Mix and fry on high heat for 3-4 mins till chicken changes colour
Step 3
Add all the spice (salt, turmeric, kashmiri red chilli, crushed chillies, roasted and crushed coriander & cumin and garam masala powder). Give it a mix on medium heat until everything well combined.
Step 4
Add the yogurt, give it a mix well.
Step 5
Now add the tomato slices, cover and cook on medium heat for 5/6 minutes till soft.
Step 6
Remove lid and cook until water nearly dries up.
Step 7
In the last add the Kasuri Methi (dry fenugreek leaves), julienned ginger, and chopped coriander leaves. Give it mix and turn off the heat
Step 8
Add butter and remove from heat.
Step 9
Smoke with live charcoal for 2/3 minutes
Step 10
Serve with rice, Naan or Roti. ENJOY!
