Chicken and Orzo soup
1 step
Prep:15minCook:30min
Chicken noodle soup with a Greek twist! Using orzo instead of traditional noodles, and adding lemon, dill, and allspice make this a very cozy, simple dish. The orzo soaks up all the broth if you let it sit for a while though 😂 so it’s best fresh

Instructions
Step 1
Dice shallot and slice garlic, heat oil in Dutch oven or large sauce pan, add garlic and shallots. When they start to brown, add salt, chili flakes, and cubed sweet potato, if using. When sweet potato starts to get color, add broth. Bring to a simmer, and add orzo and the rest of your spices. When orzo is half cooked, add chicken and parsley. Add water (and re-season if necessary) if orzo soaks up too much broth. When orzo is Cooked, season to taste and serve.
