Instructions
Step 1
Rinse and wash the lentils and rice
Step 2
Add water lentils and rice in the pot and bring to a boil

- [ ] Reduce the heat stir In the cumin and let the soup simmer for 30 minutes or until the lentils are tender, and the rice is cooked

- [ ] Halfway through cooking, the lentils start frying the onion

- [ ] In a medium size, pan, add olive oil and onion, and fry until golden and translucent

- [ ] Once is the lentils are cooked pour the fried onion mixture over the soup

- [ ] Using a hand blender, Puree the soup, until smooth

- [ ] Season with salt and pepper to taste

- [ ] Serve the soup, hot with lemon and parsley and crispy Lebanese bread
