Instructions
Step 1
In a bowl, mix together the ground beef, onion, 3/4 of the garlic, salt, 1/2 of the black pepper, and the beaten egg.
Step 2
Hydrate the panko breadcrumbs with milk, and add into the beef mixture.
Step 3
Roll the meat mixture into ~1 inch balls.
Step 4
Heat up oil in a pan and fry the meatballs until browned.
Step 5
Sautee remaining garlic in the pan and add water, soy sauce, remaining black pepper, and the bay leaf.
Step 6
Add the meatballs back into the sauce. Add rice vinegar and beef stock, and simmer for 10 minutes.
Step 7
Make a cornstarch slurry and add into the sauce.
Step 8
Thicken the sauce to liking, and enjoy.
