Instructions

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°
Step 2
Cream together butter and sugar
Step 3
Mix in vanilla
Step 4
Mix salt and baking powder into flour, then mix into butter mixture until blended. Dough will be pebbly but should stick together.
Step 5
Press half of dough into buttered 9x13" pan.
Step 6
Sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over dough and lightly press in
Step 7
Sprinkle remaining dough in bits over chips, then press and spread to cover top.
Step 8
Bake 20-25 minutes until golden brown firm to touch
Step 9
Let cool 30 min then slice into bars
