Instructions
Step 1
Place a baking sheet in the oven. Preheat oven to 450ยฐ and leave the pan in as the oven Heats
Step 2
Cut broccoli into florets. Peel and thinly slice the stems
Step 3
Toss together broccoli and 2 tablespoons oil in a bowl
Step 4
Arrange broccoli in a single layer on the hot baking sheets and the lemon slices around the broccoli
Step 5
Bake until browned and crisp tender, about 15 minutes
Step 6
Meanwhile, fill a dutch oven with water and bring to a boil. Add pasta and cook according to package directions for al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup cooking liquid. Drain
Step 7
Melt butter in Dutch oven over medium high. Cook until browned and very fragrant, about 3 minutes
Step 8
Add remaining two tablespoons oil, garlic and red pepper. Cook, stirring constantly for 30 seconds.
Step 9
Stir in pasta, salt and black pepper. Gently stir in broccoli
Step 10
Stir in 1/4 cup cooking liquid to reach desired consistency. Add more if needed. Top with zest and cheese
