Family Friendly Oatmeal Protein Bars

Ingredients
10 servings
1 ½ cupsrolled oats
old fashioned
½ cupoat bran
can substitute with rolled oats if not available
½ cupnut butter
creamy, peanut butter, almond, cashew etc
⅙ cuphoney
can substitute for maple syrup
1 Tbscoconut oil
melted
¼ tspsalt
1 tspcinnamon
or allspice
¼ cupprotein powder
vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, etc
3 Tbsdark chocolate
can substitute for any chocolate chips or omit
Instructions
Step 1
Line a 9X9 baking pan (or small available pan) with parchment or wax paper.
Step 2
In a medium-sized bowl, combine and mix well all measured ingredients
Step 3
Press mixture evenly into a 9X9 baking pan (or any size depending on thickness of bar desired or pan available).
Step 4
Cover pan with aluminum foil or saran wrap and freeze for 15 minutes.
Step 5
Move pan from freezer into the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes but preferably longer.
Step 6
Remove mixture from the refrigerator and using the pan liner remove mixture from the pan (lift up and out).
Step 7
Place on firm surface, remove paper liner, and use a sharp knife to cut into bars.
Step 8
Store bars in the fridge or counter in an airtight container for best results.
