Instructions

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 400 degree F (200 degrees C).
Step 2
Place the onions, garlic, parsley and Parmesan in the base of a food processor. Pulse until mixture is very finely chopped.
Step 3
Transfer the vegetable mixture to a large bowl. Add the egg yolk and the breadcrumbs and mix well. Next, stir in the basil, oregano, salt, and pepper.
Step 4
Add the ground beef and mix until well combined.
Step 5
Form into 1 ½-inch meatballs and place on a foil-lined baking sheet.
Step 6
Bake for 20 minutes.
Step 7
Bring the sauce to a simmer in a medium-sized saucepan. Transfer the baked meatballs to the sauce. Cover loosely with a lid and simmer on LOW for about 10 minutes.
Step 8
While the meatballs are cooking, bring a medium-sized pot of water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook until al dente. Drain and toss with the sauce and meatballs.
Step 9
Top with additional Parmesan cheese, if desired.
