Step 1
In a large pan place the oil and begin heating on a medium to high heat. Add the bacon, garlic and onion. Saute until softened (the onion will have a clear appearance). Add the minced beef and cook until browned. Drain the excess fat (if there is some).
Step 2
Add the remainin ingredients and mix thoroughly. Bring up to simmering and cook for about 20 minutes with the lid on and the gas turned low enough to maintain simmering but not boiling.
Step 3
Cook the spaghetti as per pack instructions and serve the spaghetti and bolognaise topped with grated cheddar or parmesan.
