Instructions
Step 1
Mix sugars, shortening, peanut butter, and egg. Stir in flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Cover and refrigerate for at least 3 hours.
Step 2
Heat oven to 375ºF. Shape dough into 3/4 in balls. Place two inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet; press with fork. Bake until set but not hard, about 10 minutes.
Step 3
Cool slightly before removing from cookie sheet; cool completely before eating.
