Bamia stew (okra) with rice
One of my favorite stews is bamia (okra) with white rice, I added beef in the stew you can make it vegetarian by leaving the beef out.
——bamia stew ingredients——
-1 pound of stew meat sprinkle it with a little bit of salt, add 2 cups of water and pressure cook for about 35 minutes
:
-2 tablespoons of oil
-1 14oz bag of baby okra
-1 onion
-2 cloves of garlic
-2 green chili’s or 1 jalapeño
-1 6oz can of tomato paste
-1 tomato
-1 tablespoon of chicken bouillon
-1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
-1 teaspoon of salt
-2 cups beef broth
-2 cups of water
Cover and boil for 25 minutes

-3 cups of basmati rice (wash and soak in warm water for 30 minutes)
-3 tablespoons of oil
-1 tablespoon of salt
-3 cups of hot water
Cook the rice on high until the water evaporates then reduce the heat to really low and cook for another 15 minutes and enjoy.
