Cheese Filling
Crispy Cheese Sambousek to make your weekend complete ☺️
4 cups plain flour
2 tbsp cornflour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
2 tbsp ghee, melted
2 tbsp milk
1 cup water
Cheese Filling
2 cups mozzarella, grated
1 cup halloumi, grated
1/3 cup Feta, crumbled
2 tsp black sesame seeds
Add dry ingredients before adding wet ingredients & bring together to create a smooth dough ball. I prefer to knead this dough by hand.
Cover & let it rest for about an hour.
Combine cheeses & sesame seeds for filling.
Portion dough into 4 parts. Roll out one at a time & cut out circles to preferred size. Place cheese mix in the middle & fold dough over to create semi-circle. Press to make sure edges seal. You can do this with a gadget like mine or you can easily do it by hand too by folding over & pinching to seal.
Deep fry at about 180°C in small batches for 3-4 minutes until beautiful & golden brown. Enjoy hot ☺️
