Instructions
Step 1
Wash the rice thoroughly
Step 2
Soak it for 20 minutes
Step 3
In a pan add oil, onions,tomatoes, cardamom pods, cinnamon stick, cloves and sauté until translucent

Remember not to burn the onions only sauté until soft
Step 5
Add 1/2 TSP turmeric powder
to the mixture and fry
Step 6
Add 4 cups water to the mixture
Step 7
Add 2 cups rice and cook on low flame
Step 8
Add salt to taste
Step 9
Cook until the rice is cooked and the water is absorbed
Step 10
Serve with fried chicken or pickle
