Delicious Sausage and Mash With onion gravy 😋

Instructions

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 200C fan
Step 2
Heat oil over a high heat in a large frying pan and brown the sausages turning as you go. When evenly browned remove the sausages from the pan
Step 3
Finely chop the onions.
Step 4
Add another tsp oil into the pan add the onions and cook, gently stirring until nice and soft.
Step 5
Add 1 tsp sugar and a splash of wine and stir for 2 mins
Step 6
Mix the stock with 1 tsp gravy powder and add to the pan with the onions. Bring to the boil and then turn down the heat, bubbling for 2 mins.
Step 7
Transfer the onion gravy to the dish with the browned sausages and cook in the oven for 30 mins
Step 8
While the sausages are cooking boil a pan of salted water and add the potatoes (cut into medium sized pieces) and bring back to the boil
Step 9
When the potatoes are soft drain the water, add 1tsp butter and a splash of milk and mash
