Instructions

Soak Rice

Step 1
Rinse rice a few times and soak it in water for 2 hrs.

Chicken Marinade

Step 2
Grind all the dry spices in a spice grinder and add it to a blender.
Step 3
Add all the other ingredients and make it into a paste.
Step 4
Let the chicken marinate in this for 3-4 hrs.

Saffron Turmeric Milk

Step 5
Toast the saffron in a frying pan for a few minutes.*** Dont let it burn, it burns easily.

Add saffron and turmeric to warm milk.

Biriyani

Step 7
In the pot with saute mode on, add marinated chicken and make an even layer.
Step 8
Add 1 tbsp saffron turmeric milk, 1 tbsp ghee, 1/3 cup of mint leaves and 1/3 cup of cilantro leaves on top.
Step 9
Add half the rice in the pot and make an even layer
Step 10
Add 1 tbsp saffron turmeric milk, 1 tbsp ghee, 1/3 cup of mint leaves and 1/3 cup of cilantro leaves on top.
Step 11
Add the remaining rice in the pot and make an even layer
Step 12
Add 1 tbsp saffron turmeric milk, 1 tbsp ghee, 1/3 cup of mint leaves and 1/3 cup of cilantro leaves on top.
Step 13
Close the lid and cook on High pressure for 15 minutes. After its done cooking, wait for natural release for 20 mins.
