Celeriac katsu
I like to serve this with a bowl of Japanese rice and some katsu curry sauce on the side

Instructions
Step 1
Slice the celeriac around 3-5mm thick.
Step 2
Gradually mix about 140ml (generous 2 cup) water into the flour to make a thick and sticky batter.
Step 3
Stir in the mirin, soy sauce and salt.
Step 4
Dip the celeriac slices in the batter and then in the panko.
Step 5
Heat about 2cm oil in a small frying pan over a medium heat and fry the celeriac slices on both sides until golden brown.
Step 6
Drain briefly on kitchen paper or in a sieve.
Step 7
Sprinkle with a few salt flakes and serve.
