Step 1
PREHEAT oven to 350°F.
Step 2
Generously coat a 2-quart baking dish with butter and dust with 1 tablespoon sugar.

PROCESS eggs, milk, melted butter, and remaining 4 tablespoons sugar in a blender until smooth, about 1 minute.
Step 4
Add flour and salt and pulse until well combined, about 15 pulses.
Step 5
SPOON batter into prepared baking dish.
Step 6
Arrange berries and cherries over batter.
Step 7
Bake until custard is puffed and just set in center, about 45 minutes.
Step 8
Remove from oven; let cool for about 10 minutes before serving.
