1 lbhamburger
or ground turkey, can use 1 1/2 lbs too

1onion
diced

1red pepper
green or yellow okay, seeded and chopped

1can red kidney beans
drained

1can black beans
drained

1 cupcorn canned
or frozen

1can green chilis
small

1jalapeno
seeded and chopped

1 ½ tspcumin

1 ½ tspchili powder

½ tspcayenne pepper

½ tsporegano

tabasco

2 TBSbrown sugar
dark or light

0.5 bottlebeer
or can, dark or amber ale, not Bud Lite

salt
to taste

1 x 24 ozcan crushed tomatoes

1 TBSolive oil
or canola

3cloves garlic

Instructions
Step 1
Put oil into large pot over medium heat. When hot, add garlic, onions, and chilis. Push to one side and add meat. Stir meat until almost brown, then stir in garlic, onions, and chilis. Cook until meat is fully browned, about 7 minutes. Add tomatoes, beans, and peppers. Stir and cook 10 minutes. Add spices. cook another 5-10 minutes. Add corn, stir, and cook 5 minutes. If using frozen corn, cook additional 5 minutes. Add beer and brown sugar, stir, and cook 5 more minutes. Taste and check spice level. Want it hotter? Add another dash of cayenne and Tabasco. Salt and pepper to taste. If it's too thick, add more beer and cook another 5 minutes. Serve with a dollop of sour cream, jalapeno slices, chips, and shredded Mexican or cheddar cheese.
