Instructions

Step 1
Saute meat. Saute onions and green pepper until onions are golden (about 10 minutes). Add garlic and cook 1 minute more. Add to meat.
Step 2
Stir in tomatoes, corn, salt, chili powder and black pepper. Simmer 5 minutes.
Step 3
Stir in cornmeal blended with water. Simmer 10 more minutes.
Step 4
Add olives and pour into 9"×13" baking pan.
Step 5
Make cornmeal topping: Scald 1-1/2 cup milk with 1/2 teaspoon salt. Add 2 tablespoons butter. Gradually add 1/2 cup cornmeal. Cook, stirring, until thickened. Remove from heat. Stir in 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese and 2 beaten eggs.
Step 6
Spread topping mixture over meat mixture. Bake uncovered at 375° for 40 minutes.
