Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 200c (180 fan)
Step 2
Roll out pastry thinly. Add to baking disk, prick bottom with fork and chill for 30 mins. Do not stretch out the pastry as it will shrink when cooking
Step 3
Line pastry with baking parchment and fill with ceramic baking beans. Bake for 15 mins and reduce heat to 190c (170 fan). Remove beans and paper and bake for a further 5 mins
Step 4
Fry the onion and garlic until golden (5mins) and wilt the spinach in. Set aside
Step 5
To a blender, add the block of tofu, garlic powder, onion powder, turmeric, salt, milk and flour. Pulse until smooth (will be very thick)
Step 6
Mix the blended tofu and the spinach mix together in a bowl. Add optional cheese and herbs here. Smooth into the pastry and bake for a further 25 mins
