Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F
Step 1
Line baking sheet with parchement paper; set aside.
Step 2
Cream butter & sugars until light & creamy.
Step 3
Add egg, egg yolk, butter flavoring, vanilla, & maple flavoring; mix until combined.
Step 4
Add flour, cornstarch, cream of tartar, baking powder, & salt; mix just until flour mixture disappears.
Step 5
Using lg. cookie scooper, scoop out 12 equally sized cookie dough balls, rolling into balls using hand. Using chop stick, slightly press down on cookies to make the waffle indentations.
Step 6
Freeze cookie dough balls (15 min.)
Step 7
Bake (14 min.)
Step 8
Cool on the baking sheet (15-20 min.) before transferring to cooling rack to cool fully.
Buttercream
Step 9
Beat butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, butter flavoring, & 1T cream together until light & fluffy. (If buttercream is too thick, add ½T cream at a time, & mix again until the desired consistency is reached.)
Step 10
Top each cookie with a dollop of butter cream & a drizzle of maple syrup; enjoy.

Store cookies at room temp. in air-tight container (up to 3 days) or in fridge (up to 7 days). Make sure to get cookies back to room temp. before enjoying.
Step 12
You can even store them in freezer in airtight container (up to 2 mo.) Let cookies thaw in fridge overnight before enjoying them the next day!
