Ingredients

1.5 lbpeeled and deveined shrimp

3 Tbsoil
to cook the shrimp

1 cupshallots

5 clovesgarlic
minced

1 tsppaprika

1 x 24can of tomato sauce

3 Tbspvodka

¼ tspsalt

¼ tsppepper

2 tspred pepper flakes

1 ½ cupheavy cream

½ cuppasta water

½ cupparmesan cheese

1 packageshells pasta

3 Tbspbutter

¼ cupbasil

grated parmesan
for topping
Instructions
Step 1
Season shrimp with salt, pepper and paprika. Sauté the shrimp in 3 tbsp oil for a few minutes and then remove. Sauté the shallots and garlic until fragrant. Add the sauce, vodka, more salt, pepper and red pepper flakes, Parmesan, heavy cream and pasta water and let it come to a boil. Add the pasta and cook for about 2 minutes. Add the shrimp back to the pan, fresh basil and top with parmesan cheese.
