Instructions

Step 1
Cook grits which will take about 30-40 minutes. Sauté bacon until brown but not crisp. Remove, drain fat and return to pan. When hot, add shrimp. Turn as it colors then add mushrooms and sauté until shrimp are pink and just firm. Stir in onion and garlic. Season with lemon juice, hot sauce and salt and pepper. Divide grits into 4 bowls. Spoon shrimp over them and serve.
