Instructions
Step 1
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Season short ribs with kosher salt, pepper and garlic pepper. In a large Dutch oven, heat oil over medium high heat.

Step 2
2. Brown short ribs on all sides. Don’t overcrowd the pan so make sure to work in batches. Once browned, transfer to a plate and set aside.

Step 3
3. Add onions and carrots to pot and cook over medium-high heat, until veggies are browned. Add flour and tomato paste and stir until well combined.
Step 4
4. Add wine and beef broth to the pot.
Step 5
5. Add herbs and halved heads of garlic.
Step 6
6. Transfer Dutch Oven to oven and cook until the short ribs are tender, about 2 – 2 ½ hours.

Step 7
7. Once tender, remove the short ribs from the pot and strain out the herbs and veggies.
