Instructions
Step 1
mix ingredients for sponge and set aside
Step 2
mix dry ingredients with 1/2 tbsp butter.
Step 3
create a well and add sponge mixture
Step 4
roughly mix and add egg and yolk
Step 5
mix into a loos dough ball and knead for a couple minutes until dough forms
Step 6
let sit room temp for at least five minutes
Step 7
while that’s resting, mix together butter mix and make a 8 x 5 sheet. Refridgerate.
Step 8
roll dough ball into a large sheet on a floured surface
Step 9
place butter sheet in the middle and fold over dough to cover butter completely.
Step 10
wrap and chill for 30 minutes.
Step 11
laminate dough 3-6 times
Step 12
chill 30 minutes between each fold.
Step 13
finally roll into a sheet 1/8 in thick
Step 14
cut out squares and fill with your desired jam or filling of somekind,
Step 15
fold four corners together creating a little pouch
Step 16
place on a tray covered in parchment paper
Step 17
allow to rise for 30 min to an hour
Step 18
brush with eggwash
Step 19
bake for 20-30 minutes at 375*
