Instructions

Step 1
Melt butter in a pan and add chopped onion till it becomes soft and translucent
Step 2
Add plain flour and mix till well combined. Cook the flour for a couple mins until it sticks to the pan
Step 3
Add milk, salt and black pepper and bring to a boil and let it simmer for a few minutes until it forms a thick paste
Step 4
Add boiled and shredded chicken and chopped bell peppers and cook for a couple minutes until fully combined
Step 5
Turn heat off, add cheese and mix
Step 6
Place 1-1.5tbsp of the mixture onto defrosted frozen paratha, fold over in half and close the edges with a fork. (You can add slits to the top or poke it with fork so air isn’t trapped when baking them. In this step, you can also use pizza dough or regular puff pastry and fill it in any desired shape for different look each time)
Step 7
I then top mine with sesame seeds, do an egg wash and bake at 200°C for 25mins until it is crisp and golden from outside.
Step 8
You can also prepare ahead and freeze these pasties. Defrost slightly before placing in oven when baking this way.
