Step 1
1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees 2. Dice onion & fry onion & garlic until soft 3. Slice potatoes into thin slices
4. Add butter to onion & garlic & melt
5. Whisk in flour and whisk to combine
6. 1/4 cup at a time, add milk while whisking continually to whisk out lumps
7. Once all milk is added, continue whisking until sauce thickens and milk is boiling and set aside
8. In a lined oven tray, place half of the potatoes and then layer half of the milk and cheese
9. Add remaining potatoes and then the rest of the milk and cheese
10. Cover with foil and place in the oven for 40 minutes, take off the foil and bake for a further 30 minutes until top is melted and bubbling
