Instructions

Step 1
Cut the bread into a round shape removing the crust
Step 2
Gently push a knife into the bread 1 cm apart but do not cut all the way through. Repeat again but in the opposite direction
Step 3
Heat a frying pan and add the know of butter.
Step 4
Sprinkle generously the sugar onto the top of the bread and the lid up to remove any excess. Do this on both sides of the bread
Step 5
Fry the sugary bread in the hot butter for about 3-4 minutes each side
Step 6
Serve with a scoop of ice cream
