Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 170°c

Step 2
In a small saucepan, melt butter and add golden syrup and mix until incorporated. Turn off the fire and add baking soda and hot water (mixture may overboil, take it off the heat).






Step 3
In a medium bowl, add the remaining ingredients (remember to sift the flour) and whisk until incorporated. Make a well and pour in the butter mixture. Fold the mixture.








Step 4
Line baking trays with baking paper and roll the mixture into desired sizes (remember to keep them a few cm apart) and flatten them down to desired thickness.


Step 5
Bake them for 20 minutes (times may vary for different ovens and remember to check on them after 10 minutes and turn them around).

Step 6
Take them out and allow them to cool for 10 minutes.
Step 7
Add toppings of your choice.
