Instructions
Step 1
In a medium bowl, add all the burger sauce ingredients, season with salt and pepper and mix until well combined. Cover and place in the fridge until needed.
Step 2
Add the beef mince to a large bowl and season well with salt and pepper. Bring the mixture together with your hands and separate it into 8. Shape each piece into 8 individual patties. Lay on a tray and allow it to firm up in the fridge.
Step 3
Meanwhile, add the bacon to a dry pan on medium and fry for 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden and crisp. Place on a plate lined with kitchen paper to remove any excess grease. Cover and set to one side.
Step 4
Add some oil to a frying pan and bring to a medium-high heat. In batches, add the burgers and cook for 3-4 minute on each side or until beautifully browned. Top each burger with the American cheese and splash a little water over them. Quickly place a lid over them to help the cheese melt.
Step 5
Halve the burger buns and lightly toast them in a dry pan.
Step 6
To serve, each burger bun is spread with the burger sauce, topped with shredded iceberg lettuce, 2 cheesy burger patties, diced white onion, crispy bacon and the sesame bun lid.
