Sweet & Spicy Garlic Fish Sauce

This sauce is best served with crispy fried fish, crispy fried pork belly, steamed or stir-fried water spinach.

Instructions

For the sauce

Step 1
In a mortar add the peeled garlic, minced Thai chilis, 4 Tbsp Sugar and 3 Tbsp Fish sauce
Step 2
Pound until you get a thick syrup consistency
Step 3
Add an additional 2 Tbsp fish sauce to it
Step 4
Add about a whole lime juice
Step 5
Taste, add more sugar or lime according to your liking
Step 6
Enjoy with your favorite fried dishes or steamed vegetables!
