Ingredients

½ Tbspolive oil

1yellow onion
medium, chopped

1 lb90 % lean ground beef

1 ¼ tspsweet paprika

¾ tspkosher salt

1red bell pepper
or orange, chopped

2garlic cloves
minced

1 tspworcestershire sauce

1 x 15 ozcan tomato sauce

1 x 14.5 ozcan petite diced tomatoes

1 x 15 ozcan low-sodium beef broth

1bay leaf

8 ozelbow macaroni

¾ cupshredded cheddar cheese

fresh parsley
chopped, for garnish, optional
Instructions
Step 1
Add oil to Dutch Oven over medium-high heat. Add onion and cook, stirring occasionally, until the onion begins to brown, about 3 minutes.
Step 2
Add the beef, season with the papriak and salt, and brown the meat, using a wooden spoon to break it into small pieces as it cooks, 3 to 4 minutes.
Step 3
Add the bell pepper, garlic and Worcestershire sauce and cook, stirring occasionally, until fragrant and softened, about 4 to 5 minutes.
Step 4
Add the tomato sauce, tomatoes, broth and bay leaf. Stir in the macaroni.
Step 5
Bring to a boil and cook, covered, over medium-low heat until the pasta is cooked and the liquid is absorbed, about 20 minutes.
Step 6
Discard the bay leaf. Turn onto serving plate and top with cheddar and parsley garnish if desired. Serve.
