Instructions

Cinnamon Apples

Step 1
Pour water in a small pot and drop the apples in. Begin cooking on medium heat.
Step 2
Add cinnamon and 1 tbsp of sweetener. Stir everything together so the cinnamon and sweetener coats all of the apples. Lid the pot and let them cook on medium-low heat for about 20 minutes, checking in and stirring every 5 minutes are so. You want the apples to be soft, but not mushy.

Once the apples are cooked, drizzle on the sugar-free maple syrup and lightly stir together. Use immediately on French Toast, or save for other uses.

Step 4
In a shallow, medium sized bowl, crack the egg and add in the cinnamon, vanilla and milk and mix together to form the dipping batter.
Step 5

Step 6
Dip the 2 slices of bread into the batter, one slice at a time, and be sure to flip the bread so the batter coats both sides. Leave bread in batter for 10 seconds on each side to absorb.
Step 7
Spray cooking spray on the pan or griddle (not needed if using non-stick) and cook the coated slices for 2 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
