Instructions

Step 1
Make batter and stand for 1 hour. Preheat oven to fan 160°C put lard in dish 30cm x 20cm and heat. Add sausages, Cook for 10 mins. Meanwhile boil small saucepan of water, add pinch salt and sliced onion, simmer for 3 mins then drain thoroughly. Add onion to sausages and return to oven for further 20 minutes, stirring regularly. Turn oven up to 180°C pour batter around sausages and onion bake for 30 mins.
