Instructions
Step 1
You can use pre-made nut butter or if you wish to make it yourself then it’s super easy. All you need is the nut of your choice toasted in the oven for 10 minutes or on low flame till it gets nice and toasty. Then pulse it in a high power blender, be patient throughout this process it can take somewhere around 5-10 minutes depending on the type of nut and the speed of your blender. It will slowly come together from a powder, to a mixture, then a thick paste and finally the creamy butter. Once you have achieved the desired consistency simply add sweetener of your choice if needed. I suggest adding a small amount of brown or coconut sugar to enhance the flavour of the nut along with a pinch of salt. I wouldn’t suggest using any liquid sweetener like honey, maple syrup, caramel, in the nut butter as it most probably will affect the texture so please avoid that.
