Instructions

ORANGE HOISIN SAUCE:

Step 1
Zest the orange, then segment the orange.

How to Segment an Orange

Step 2
A) Cut off the ends of the orange. Lay it on a flat surface so it doesn't tip over. Cut all around the orange, removing the entire peel and white pith. Tip: Squeeze the juice out of these parts and reserve for something later (like juice or salad dressing) if you want.
Step 3
B) Make two slices into each section of the orange, excluding the membrane/segment dividers. Make sure your slices go inside each membrane so there won't be any remaining on your segments. Discard the segment parts. (Squeeze the juice out of this part if you'd like to keep it as well).
Step 4
Add all the ingredients to a medium saucepan and bring to a boil. Lower the heat and allow to simmer for about five minutes, then pour into your blender or food processor. Blend on high until smooth (strain if necessary).

THE CHICKEN:

Step 5
Wash and pat the chicken dry, then cut it into bite sized inch pieces.
Step 6
Add the ghee to a large skillet over high heat, and add in the chicken. Cook for about 5 minutes or until mostly cooked through, stirring occasionally.
Step 7
Add the sauce to the pan and bring simmer with the chicken for another 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Step 8
In a separate skillet, steam the broccoli over medium heat for 5-6 minutes or until bright green. Be careful not to overcook it. Serve the chicken with the broccoli and top with green onions and sesame seeds.
