Ingredients

1can chickpeas
3 cupsdry longgrain rice
Instructions
Step 1
Heat oil on high fry meat ~5 minutes
Step 2
Add onion continue to fry until they are translucent
Add hot water to cover approximately .5 inch below level. Close lid and cook on low for 45 min - 1 hr
Step 3
20 minutes before time is up, wash the rice in cold water.
Step 4
When meat is done add carrots on bottom and top, add spices cover with water (pinky width)
Step 5
Add boiled water to rice and let "cook" for 10 minutes
Step 6
Add 1 head of garlic/chickpeas cover w/ water~ cook for 7-10 minutes (look for soft carrots)
Step 7
Add "clean" rice in a small mound and put hot water at the pinky width
Step 8
Let the water boil off on high with open lid
Step 9
Cook on high for few minutes constantly flipping rice. Then cover for 20-40 minutes flipping rice evey ten minutes and put three vent holes
