Instructions

For bread

Step 1
Combine dry ingridents and mix
Step 2
Add water in portions, kneading the dough by hand
Step 3
Once the dough forms a ball and stops sticking, divide into 8 pieces
Step 4
Press each dough ball into 1/8 inch discs
Step 5
Grill each of griddle at 375 °F for ~1 minute on each side, or until each side dries
Step 6
Heat cooking oil in small pot
Step 7
Individually fry each gordita for ~10 seconds on one side, or until the dough floats.
Step 8
Flip and allow second side to dry for same amount of time as first.
Step 9
Transfer each gordita to plate with paoer towel to dry
Step 10
While still warm, slice open gordita to open pocket for fillings
