Instructions
Step 1
Mix couscous with 2 tblspoons of oil. Mix well. Add 1 and 1/4 cup water. Stir and let sit.
Step 2
Mix chicken with turmeric, SP. rest for 15 mins
Step 3
combime onion, carrot potato into a bowl and cover with oil, SP
Step 4
stir the couscous and mound it in a steamer
Step 5
heat oil in pot until almost smoking. add jalapenos and stir about 1 min. add garlic tomato paste and half the harissa. cook until it begins to Brown.
Step 6
add 2 cups water and simmer. add chicken into 1 layer. pour veggies and their juice over it in another layer. Do not stir! add couscous in its steamer and cover. cook for 45 mins.
Step 7
remove couscous and pour into a bowl. stir the veggies and chicken and allow to sit, covered for 5 mins.
Step 8
pour out the cooking liquid into a container. mix with remaining harissa and stir it into the cous cous. spoon the veggies and chicken into the center of the couscous. serve with lemon.
