0.5kgWhite Flour
6 table spoonssugar
1 table spoonyeast
1 table spoonhoney
1egg
¼ cupoil
200mlwater
room temperature
For the topping
Instructions
Make the dough
Step 1
Combine all dry ingredients in a large bowl
Step 2
Add the egg, oil and honey
Step 3
Add the water while whisking the flour
Step 4
Whisk for 3 minutes until dough is formed
Step 5
Form a ball, drip tiny amount of oil on top of it to make sure it won't dry, cover the bawl with wet towel.
Step 6
Let sit for at least 4 hours in room temperature
Form the Chala
Step 7
Take out the dough and split in half
Step 8
Form two Chala breads on a baking sheet
Step 9
Cover with wet towel and let sit for an hour
Top and bake the Chala
Step 10
Combine egg and honey, brush the Chala bread and top with sesame seeds
Step 11
Put into a pre heated oven to 350f for 25 minutes until browning.
