Ingredients

1 x 19.5 ozItalian turkey sausage
sweet or hot, casings removed, links cut into 2-inch pieces
1red bell pepper
large, cut into bite-size strips
1yellow bell pepper
large, cut into bite-size strips
1 x 14.5 ozcan diced tomatoes
undrained
1 teaspoondried basil leaves
crushed
2 ⅔ cupspenne rigate pasta
uncooked
grated parmesan cheese
if desired
Instructions
Step 1
In 4-quart Dutch oven or saucepan, cook sausage and bell peppers over medium- high heat, about 8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until sausage is no longer pink: drain.
Step 2
Reduce heat to medium-low.
Step 3
Stir in tomatoes and basil.
Step 4
Cover; simmer 10 minutes.
Step 5
Meanwhile, cook and drain pasta as directed on package.
Step 6
Serve sausage and peppers over pasta; sprinkle with cheese.
