Beef Roast -slow cooker -skoop
1 roast (any size)
sear each side to lock in flavour in 1 tbsp of oil in a frypan
add: 1 chopped onion
2-3 cloves of garlic
transfer into a slow cooker where you have put 1 large onion cut in half and lay the roast on these half onions
add: 1-2 cups of strong brewed coffee (depending on how much juice you want) with 2
beef cubes dissolved in them
1/2 to 1 cup of water (again depending on how much juice you want at the end)
1 tbsp of dried basil or fresh to equal this
1 tbsp of dried rosemary (crushed)
cracked black pepper
pinch of salt
Cook on low for 7-9 hours (depending on the size of the roast)
To make gravy at the end ... Remove the roast from the slow cooker. Take and mix 1 cup of cold water adn 3/4 cup flour in a container that you can shake the mixture in. Shake well and then add to the juice from the roast ... stirring constantly until thickened with your slow cooker on high.
Enjoy :)
