Instructions

Step 1
Cream yolks sugar and vanilla together then add the flour and beat together thoroughly to a smooth paste
Step 2
Place milk and butter in a pan and bring to the boil
Step 3
Add half the milk to the egg mixture whisking vigorously until smooth then whisk in the remainder
Step 4
Return the mixture to the pan and bring to the boil to thicken; whisk continuously. Cook whilst whisking for a further 2 mins. approx. Use as required or place on a basin, cover with a buttered paper and when cool, keep in the refrigerator
