This is my mother-in-law's recepie from Mexico. They make this every Christmas and serve it with bread or rolls.

Ingredients

1can garbanzo beans

1 cupolive oil
pot

1 headgarlic
diced, until browned

1onion
chopped, until browned, add more olive oil if needed

2cans of whole tomatoes
chopped, Cook until well seasoned

1.5 kiloscod fish
that has been sitting in water overnight- boiled and shreded

green olives

capers

almonds

1 kilopotatos
bolied, skined & cubed
Instructions
Step 1
in a big pot put 1 cup olive oil and 1 head diced garlic until browned.
Step 2
Add 1 chopped onion until browned. add more olive oil if needed.
Step 3
add 2 cans of whole tomatoes chopped. Cook until well seasoned.
Step 4
Add 1.5 kilos of cod fish that has been sitting in water overnight- boiled and shreded.
Step 5
Add garbanzos, green olives, capers, diced pientos, sliced almonds & 1 kilo small potatos (bolied, skined & cubed)
