Instructions

Step 1
Brown the smoked meat in the 2 tablespoons of oil, add the finely chopped carrots, onion and pepper and fry them lightly.

Finely chop the cabbage and add it to the smoked meat.

We pour water in the pot (just a little to help the boiling process; later the cabbage will leave enough water to cover what is needed), mix gently and cook everything at the right heat, until the cabbage is well done.
Step 4
Salt to taste, add the dill borscht and the tomato juice, lemon juice and continue boiling for another 10 minutes or so, until it boils a few times.
Step 5
After turning off the fire, sprinkle the freshly chopped parsley and dry thyme.
