Instructions
Step 1
In a bowl, whisk egg with milk, melted butter, yeast and sugar for a couple of mins.
Step 2
Now, add flour and a salt and knead for 10 mins or until you form a smooth dough.
Step 3
Cover your dough with cling film and let it proof for 1 hour or until it doubles its size.
Step 4
Divide your dough into 2 parts and roll out each part until you form two disks of approximately 28cm each.
Step 5
Add the first disk on a oven tray previously lined with parchment paper then add your mozzarella on top (you can also add different cheeses and mix them together if you like such as Gouda, Cheddar, Fontina or Edam).
Step 6
Add the second disk on top and seal the edges with your fingers (pinch the dough together so the mozzarella won’t go out while baking).
Step 7
Cover with cling film and let it proof for 30 more mins.
Step 8
Brush some milk on top of your bread and bake for 30 mins or until golden (160C/320F).
Step 9
Brush some melted butter on top of your bread and some chopped parsley.
