Hawaiian Inspired Garlic Shrimp

Been craving Hawaiian Garlic Shrimp food trucks, but since that is not something we can really find in Cali I decided to make it at home. I tried use a spice blend with the garlic butter, but I think i might just finish with cayenne if I want more spiciness. I plan to revisit this recipe when I try more shrimp trucks in Hawaii. Ingredients
2 servings
1 lbtiger shrimp
¼ cupcorn starch
1 tsppaprika
1 tspcayenne
1 tspoil
4 Tbspsalted butter
6cloves garlic
chopped
1 Tbspfresh lemon juice
2 tbsp Spice Blend
Instructions
Step 1
1. Trim the legs off the shrimp, butterfly and devein.
Step 2
2. Rinse the shrimp and pat dry
Step 3
3. Coat shrimp in corn starch, paprika, and cayenne
Step 4
4. Fry for 1 minute, or until cooked through and crispy
Step 5
5. Remove and place on paper towels to absorb excess oil
Step 6
6. In a separate pan, add oil and butter
Step 7
7. Melt butter on medium to low heat
Step 8
8. Once melted add garlic and saute until light brown
Step 9
9. Add in the spice blend, Fried shrimp, and lemon juice
Step 10
10. Cut the heat and incorporate the ingredients
Step 11
11. Finally plate
