Ingredients

1 ⅓ cupsrolled oats
old fashioned
½ cuplight brown sugar
packed
6 tablespoonsall-purpose flour
6 tablespoonswhite whole wheat flour
¼ teaspoonbaking soda
¼ teaspoonground cinnamon
¼ teaspoonsalt
⅓ cupbutter
consulted, melted
1 ⅓ cupsfresh strawberries
finely chopped
3 tablespoonsstrawberry preserves
2 tablespoonsgranulated sugar
½ teaspooncornstarch
Instructions
Step 1
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line an 8 inch square baking pan with parchment paper, leaving a 2 inch overhanging on two sides. Coat with cooking spray

2. Combine oats, brown sugar, all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt in a large bowl

3. Stir in melted butter

4. Firmly press two cups of the oat mixture in the bottom of the prepared pan, reserve the rest for the topping

5. Bake until fragrant and set, about 20 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack
Step 6
6. Combine strawberries, preserves, granulated sugar and cornstarch and medium bowl
Step 7
7. Spread the mixture evenly over the crust. Sprinkle with the reserved oat mixture
Step 8
8. Bake until the topping is golden and the filling is bubbling, about 35 minutes
Step 9
9. Like cool in the pan for 5 minutes. Using the overhanging parchment, carefully lift the bars out of the pan. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely, about 1 hour
Step 10
10. Cut into 12 bars
